Nursery Furniture: Coastal Blue

Babies are keeping me busy!
This month alone I’m painting three sets of nursery furniture. I love painting a piece that will grow with a baby for years to come.
I must admit, I’m a little envious of these babies and their stylish rooms.
A past client and soon-to-be new mommy asked me to paint a pair of antique dressers for her little boy.
The nursery is aviation inspired so she wanted a deep blue with a gold pulls.

I used coastal blue by General Finishes
and found hardware from Hobby Lobby that could be sprayed exactly how she wanted.
I used spray paint colors I had and layered colors to get this pretty brassy gold.
I used oil rubbed bronze, metallic gold and aged copper. I played around with the colors until I got it just right.
At first we were worried this color was going to be a little too dark but it came out perfect!
It’s a perfect,  deep navy blue.
Here is one more look of both pieces together!
I’ll be sharing two other nurseries in the next week or two. They are both super cute and Pinterest-worthy.
I promise!
I’ll also have a tour of a clients home. I am so excited to share the Boyer home with you. I hope you love their home as much as I do.
